Language Constructs

A little while ago I came across a book that was written to introduce a subject to students. It used vocabulary that was well outside any common parlance and was indeed so difficult to read that I stopped reading it, long before the last chapter. The book however intrigued me-why had it been written and what sort of outcome had the authors intended. Such an approach to language is not uncommon, whether it be used by the legal profession, ecclesiastical officials, publishers, or those seeking to mystify a subject for their own ends. I have pursued this investigation and the result is a series of short films which look at different constructs and how they involve and affect us.
